Somewhere in My Mind

I surrender to my random thoughts... and i write... whatever I find... somewhere in my mind

My Tears

Compelled to cry a silent tear
Having not the reason all girls cry for
My cry is my eye's freedom
They strain to keep those tears inside
If i had not this pencil
I would write with my tears

Words may express how I am
Echoing my chaos
Onto a paper
My feelings are scribbled
But with no words, no paper and no pencil
I cry out my anger and happiness
For if I had nothing to write with
I would write with my tears

In Retrospect

Take a minute to reflect
Look at your life in retrospect
Recall a scent, recall a glance
Save a moment, save a chance
Life is lonely, no one can tell
Tears of sorrow, you hide them well
Think of the time when we had met
You thought pain was all you’ll get
Real love maybe, we never knew,
Just think of me, I’ll think of you

Ode to My Ear

Such a miracle it is
To be able to hear
Audio images, melodies
Conducted by my ear

What control it has on me
Heart, body and all
Drowsiness, tenderness
All from something so small

I have sabotaged it
Now it retaliates
Scornful, torturing
My actions, it dictates

Can’t touch it, don’t try
Mobile renders useless
I twist, I turn
Destined to be sleepless

It has a heartbeat
I know it loves me
But can it stop
As its love just hurts me

It’s red, hot, and unbearable
Swollen, like a balloon
I wish, I yearn
For it to get well soon

This poem was written only because i'm sick and tired of my ear. I had my left ear pierced twice and the 'higher' piercing is now infected so it hurts like hell! Doc says it will get better within a few -hopefully short!- days :)

Followed

I feel followed
<whispered: No, I won't look back>...I feel stalked
I wonder if I'm right
Will I be the prey tonight?
Is there someone walking behind me?
Creeping so softly, <whispered: Don't look back>...so I can't see
My palms clenched and my heart trembles
My eyes are glossy, fearing what this resembles
A scary movie, a victim's autobiography
I get home, my fingers fumble for the key
I say to myself: <whispered: 30 seconds could give it a chance>
I have 30 seconds that can make a difference
Get in the door, lock it, <whispered: one lock...two...three> they click
Close the curtain, put the lights on, that'll do the trick
The doorbell rings, I reach for my bat
Ready for action, ready for combat
I open the door just enough to see who
It slams open with a big "BOO"
From a friend that nearly gave me a heart attack
And in reply she says smirkily "There...now, I got you back"

Lady In Process

I may sip my tea
Have my nails French-manicured
Shaped in a perfect ‘C’
But there is a little child hiding
Beneath the Lady I must be
I am a young spirit that never will change
I will not allow this society to mould me
To become one of them
To become an emotionless proper Lady
A lady never speaks of her misfortunes
She forces herself to cry at funerals (how silly!)
Juggles weddings and engagements to see & ofcourse, be seen
As a lady who fulfils what she calls her ‘societal duty’
I will revolt against this doctrine
I will not become a puppet to any society
I’m on a mission to be myself
So come on! Be a rebel, come join me
Steer away from it if its not what you’re meant to be
And to the women who disapprove say just one thing:
“Don’t think of me less
If I don’t pass your tests
I really do try my very best
But with a free spirit
I am unlike the rest
(And this I confess…)
I am and always will be
A lady in process

Dear Life,

Dear Life,

Thank you for providing me with this job
Yet, may I also ask for motivation?
Thank you for the family I have
Yet, may I also ask for some patience?
Thank you for nature’s beauty
Yet, may I ask for more time to enjoy it?
Thank you for all the love you allowed me to give
Yet, may I ask you for my heart’s protection?
Thank you for the strength you gave me when I was weak
Yet, may I also ask you for more in my remaining days?
Thank you for the self confidence you built in me
Yet, may I also ask you to complete me with modesty?
Thank you for the smile I have to share with people
Other than the pleasure it brings them, I ask of you nothing more.

Love,

One who is but a fraction of life.

Life Washed Away

Tender thoughts scripted in the sand
Just to be stepped on or erased by hand
Sat by the shore sculpting a phrase
A word for each memory, memories of days
Passing us subtly, without any delay
With just one wave Life is washed away

by the way: i took that picture on Qurum beach :)

Last Smile

It was unforeseeable
She had to go
Unstoppable
She had to leave me here
Perhaps it was destiny
As my eyes were destined to tear
Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise
But why does this blessing play such a trick on me
I ache, I suffer, I hurt from what she has become
She is but a distant memory
And her last smile…yes, that last one
Was the most precious thing she left me

In Dying Memory

I love you my little kitten
I miss your cute paws stroking my hair while I sleep
I grieve for the way you rub against me when I cook in the kitchen
The way you embrace me, just unforgettable
Such a loving creature you never gave too little
And when you take, it was never too much
I will never forget you my sweet Toffee
A promise I keep in a dying memory

Dreamer

Distance, a rendezvous
Staring out of life
Looking down at the world
Always there, but mentally
Absent, the dreamer
Spends his days
Dream on Dreamer
Life is but a blank roll of film and you, the director

Standing in a Puddle

It was done, done badly.
Cries, tears and hurt visited my eyes
Thoughts were all about it, sadly
The moment, the bad decision, was just a decision to me
Ironically oblivious to how bad it would be
Lightening and thunder came from the sky
And all anger rained down on me
There was now nothing I can do
Standing here in a puddle of rain
Wet-freezing to the bone
I did it, and I did it badly
And this is what I deserve, sadly…

Surrender to Temptation

Surrender to temptation
Surrender
Surrender
Let yourself go when passion pulls u in
Succumb to the call of desire again and again
Satisfy your yearning and cool the burning
Flush that heat out of your body; let the mayhem begin
Give up and persuade your sense to let the devil win
Break the written rules and do what is forbidden
Let judgment hold you back for just this one sin
Make your insides grin from within
Be foolish and daring; take yourself to that instant heaven
Go on – give in
Surrender
Surrender
Surrender to temptation
